Halloween Reads for Your Little-Ones

Halloween Reads for Your Little-Ones

Hello everyone!

Halloween is just around the corner. In my last post Spooky Fun for Middle Schoolers I introduced a fun book which is fantastic read for the middle school crowd.

However, I want the little-ones to have some fun books for this season as well! Today I’ll show you three different books that I think would be perfect for the young bookworms in your life- or even as a bedtime read aloud. No nightmares from these books!

The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything

Once upon a time, there was a little old lady who was not afraid of anything!”

Written by Linda Williams, this book is definitely one of my favorite Halloween picture books! It’s the story of a little old lady who decides to go on a walk, and on her return home she encounters many scary sights including a giant orange pumpkin head. Despite this, she bravely hurries on because she’s not afraid of anything!

The Deep Dark Woods

Trolls and witches are enough to scare anyone. But not for the big bad wolf who is pretending to protect the little girl so she can become his next meal! This book contains full-page illustrations on every page, which will leave your child dying to turn the next page and continue the story.

Room On the Broom

This book was one of my favorite Halloween stories growing up. A compelling story of a witch on her broomstick, the illustrations and imaginative writing come to life. There’s always room for one more!

All of these books are amazing Halloween reads for our younger readers. All three are picture books with incredible illustrations and engaging pots. Pick one of these as your next bedtime read aloud- you won’t regret it!
