Brand New No-Spice Romance!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
Hello everyone!
I am so excited for today’s post. A big thank you to Barbour Publishing for providing a copy of this book to feature on my blog!
If you’re a romance reader similar to me then you might have noticed that it’s hard to find clean and wholesome stories.
The Red Cottage by Hannah Linder is the picture of perfection. Just recently published on November 1st, it managed to perfectly satisfy my craving for a sweet romance while still being a ‘closed door’ romance, which means it contains no explicit content/scenes.
I love the cover and the back of the book is just as gorgeous as the front. I always read the back of books and as soon as I saw the sentence ‘She forgot she loved him. He’d die to make her remember’ fashionably written in bold, I knew I would adore this book.
And I did.
Meg Foxcroft is in love with Tom McGwen. Their dream is to someday build their own family while living in a red cottage.
Their dreams of becoming husband and wife are short-lived and are quickly shattered when Meg finds herself the victim of an attack.
Swept up by a dashing lord, Meg has forgotten everything and everyone. Tom no longer holds a place in her heart. Despite this, his one want is to win Meg back and discover the mystery of Meg’s assailant.
Meg is now confronted with the mysteries of her past and has to make the biggest decision of all and decide who her one true love is.
I loved this book and I highly recommend! Yes it was intended as an adult novel, and I did read somewhere that it was recommended for teens ages 16+ due to the emotionally challenging topics. However, nothing was graphic and everything was carefully handled.
Trigger Warning- Sexual Assault, murder, arson, moderate violence.

Happy November!
Some of you might be wondering what is coming next to the Bookish Queen since Halloween is over.
November is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and I will be contributing books that discuss this specific topic throughout the month! Keep checking back, I have many fun posts planned for the coming weeks. 😊
