2025 for the Bookish Queen

2025 for the Bookish Queen

It’s officially 2026!

Today I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of highlighting a single book or series, I am going to show some of the best highlights of my reviewing journey from this past year. If you’ve been a frequent visitor from the beginning, you’ll know I started this blog over this past summer in August. I never expected this blog to come so far or to be blessed with the opportunity to partner with several publishers over the course of 2025 to put a spotlight on some of their books, new and old.

Top posts on the Bookish Queen in 2025:

These posts were the ones that seemed to do the best with readers of The Bookish Queen! Check them out by clicking the link!

Ella Enchanted: A Story of Magic and Inspiration– An all-time favorite for me, this post featuring Ella Enchanted seemed to be a favorite for many readers as well.

The Importance of Literature in a World Ruled by Technology– This post was one I especially enjoyed writing. I love talking about how important literature is, especially in our world today. It was a delight to be able to highlight the nonfiction book the Anxious Generation, which I believe is a must-read.

Frankenstein: Lessons About Acceptance– I knew Frankenstein’s story would do well especially during the Halloween season. Also anxious to show off my lavish copy of this novel, this one was fantastic to dive into the in-depth lessons that Frankenstein can still teach us today.

Epilepsy Awareness Month: She Danced with Lightning– My only memoir featured this year, I was delighted to write a post highlighting a book that brings attention to a topic I am so passionate in raising awareness about.

A big thank you!

Thank you to all the publishers I received copies of books from, but I would specifically like to give a shout-out to Barbour Publishing and Globe Pequot. Both of these publishers have given me the opportunity to share my passion for literature and reading while providing me with several copies of my own to enjoy again and again. Thank you!

Goodreads:

I found time to read 179 books this year and read 48,896 pages! You can view my 2025 reading journey and see some of my other reviews only on Goodreads by visiting my account: Elena Rose (The Bookish Queen) – The United States (1,530 books) | Goodreads

2026!

Although 2025 is over, I have not run out of fun ideas for upcoming posts! I am continuing to share bookish content and great books.

My goal as a reader/reviewer

Reading has been one of my greatest joys for almost my entire life. I fell in love with it at a young age, and haven’t stopped since. Even through some of the hardest times in my life, I’ve always sought books as a source of comfort and peace. In this modern world where it’s easy for many of us to be consumed by the technology we now have at our fingertips, I feel that it is even more necessary to share my love of reading. My goal is to spread the magic and beauty that stories are capable of and hopefully give examples of some books I love that I think others will too. One of my favorite parts of getting lost in a book is that we can be transported to any point in the world and time and live thousands of lives. We can experience so many things just through the words on a page, and that is something that is truly special.

Happy New Year!
