An Inspiring Picture Book: Little Renee of Sunshine and the Everkind Tales
Hello, everyone!
Firstly, I would like to thank the author for kindly reaching out inviting me to join her review team for her new release! Little Renee of Sunshine and the Everkind Tales is a picture book that is releasing in paperback and hardback January 15th.
I think the age range for the book is best suited for small children maybe from the ages of four to six and is also a great read aloud. Written by Gael J.B. Orr, this book is a collection of three magical tales. Best of all- they’re about fairies! I was in love with fairy books growing up, and looking back, for a long time I pretty much believed I was a fairy as a young child. I even remember constantly wearing a pair of fairy wings- just for the fun of it!
If this book had been written when I was small, I would have loved it. The illustrations enhance the poetic-like writing, and although the writing style is quite simple, I find that it is perfect for this specific book. For a child who is growing and improving their reading skills, some of it might even be perfect to help with that!
What I most enjoyed about this magical book was the inspiring and uplifting messages it sends to young children. While we follow Little Renee of Sunshine and her fairy children, we get to learn life values along with them.
Patience, listening, and kindness are just a few of the qualities that are remarkably illustrated in Little Renee of Sunshine and the Everkind Tales.
It would be a great easy read to sit down and read aloud to your child, and afterwards, have a discussion about the lessons learned. The fairy siblings are children too! They’re relatable, fun, and easy to feel like we get to know them.
Thank you to Gael J.B. Orr for inviting me to read this.
Age range- 4-6
