The Library is for Everyone!
Thank you to Penguin Random House for supporting me and my blog!
I love the library. I could be in a library all day, contentedly sitting in the soft plush chairs surrounded by books, with the characters in the books coming alive and feeling as real to me as the air- what could be better?
The library is a place I remember going to frequently as a young child. It was always somewhere I wanted to constantly go to, and I loved being there!
I was honored to receive I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy from Penguin Random House! This is a picture book that encourages library time for everyone. Whoever it is, the library has something for them. It’s a place to embrace your imagination to the fullest, to escape whatever is worrying you, and a place where characters are spilling out from the pages everywhere you look.
I can definitely feel the magic in the air when I walk into a library.
I’m So Happy You’re Here: A Celebration of Library Joy managed to capture that magic and sense of belonging in a short, beautifully illustrated book.
Just like a library, this book isn’t just for kids. It’s for adults too.
One line truly captured my attention: “The library is a place for you, a place you’ll always belong.” How true is that?!
What an awesome book to write! It was written by Mychal Threets, who is a literacy ambassador and librarian.
Mychal- what an amazing book! 📚💗
