A Relatable Story on Love and Redemption

A Relatable Story on Love and Redemption

I was honored to be able to feature this title by Pamela Desmond Wright. Thank you so much for providing my own copy, Pamela!

Telling the story of Isla Stohl, An Amish Widow’s Hope is about a young mother who is trying her best to support herself and her children. However, after a robbery occurs, the man who broke her heart years ago just happens to be the sheriff on the job.

Likable Characters? Yes please!

You can’t help but fall in love with the characters from the moment you pick this book up. It’s impossible not to sympathize with Isla- and even the man who left her all those years ago seems to become just as likable as this young woman.

If I don’t like or can’t sympathize with characters in a book, chances are I won’t finish it. This was not the case for this story. Each character was unique and had different personalities, making it a wide variety of people and engaging to read!

What lesson did Isla’s story teach?

Throughout this novel was a consistent theme of redemption. The author showed that even painful past mistakes can be forgiven and redeemed. I enjoyed this theme and am aware that it would connect with many readers, both young and old. Readers will draw inspiration from this story and are sure to finish wanting to read more of Wright’s writing!
