Dear lovely reader,

Who am I, you’re asking? The short answer is- a book enthusiast!

I’m Elena Rose, the chapter junkie responsible for The Bookish Queen website. I am the true Bookish Queen, have been an avid reader my entire life, and hope to share a love for reading with this site!

If you’re a visitor to my blog, it’s likely that you enjoy books, just like me! Some of my best friends are fictional- anyone relate? Maybe you’re also best friends with Jo March, or Alice and the Mad Hatter!

The thought of creating The Bookish Queen began when I embarked on my ARC reviewing journey which was early January of 2025. (Advanced readers copies are books that are released to reviewers before the publication date). I saw that many reviewers already had book blogs and long story short- it lit the competitive spark in me that is only seen when trying to attain books!

So now I am proud to own the title Elena Rose the Bookish Queen and I’m so grateful that this blog is now a part of existence and no longer just a figment of my imagination!

If you’re wondering about my favorite books- I have so many. There are many books that are dear to me in different ways, but my top favorite book of all time is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Another favorite is Someone Like You by Karen Kingsbury!

As of 2026, needless to say, I am of course still an avid reader, but here are some other fun facts about me! I am an aerialist and perform in aerial silks and hoop. I have a particular love for cheesy unrealistic Hallmark movies- they are the best. My favorite movie of all time is Father of the Bride, and I have a serious desire to rewatch the show I Love Lucy time and time again. Here is one more fact- one that you have perhaps already guessed- I am a hopeless romantic and can’t help falling in love with cute fictional men like Mr. Darcy or charming Laurie from Little Women. It’s not uncommon to find me weeping over my fictional boyfriends. 💜
