Celebrating One Year of The Bookish Queen
Today is officially 365 days since I hit publish on my first blog post. One year!
The Bookish Queen has come further than I ever could have imagined. Once I started blogging, I couldn’t stop. At first, I wasn’t even sure if people were even reading the words I wrote, but I didn’t care because I was doing something I loved. Yet soon, authors and publishers alike were writing me asking about potential features and I have been so blessed to be able to work with several in promoting their releases!
Thank you also to every single reader of this blog. It brings me so much joy whenever my posts are read, and especially whenever you comment and like.

These questions are ones that I have been asked several times. I figured my blog post marking one year would be a great time to do them!
Q: Where did your blog name come from, and did you already have it picked out before you started designing the site?
A: I had imagined starting a book blog for years and always knew I wanted ‘Bookish’ in the title. I pondered over names like ‘Bookish fairy’ and other similar ideas, but they never seemed quite right. When I finally thought of ‘The Bookish Queen,’ it sounded like the perfect combination of majestic and cozy.
Q: What made you want to start a blog?
A: I always love sharing what I’m reading with friends and family, and a blog seemed like the perfect way to extend that outreach.
Q: Will you review my book?
A: I will absolutely consider reviewing your book! Whether you are an author or publisher, make sure to reach out via the contact forms available on the site, and I will respond if I think it is a good fit.
Q: Will you read the first chapter of my book?
A: As of right now, I mainly read and review books that are further along in the publishing process.
