I’m a Reader, of Course I…

By now, many of you will have seen or at least heard of the trend “I’m a ___, of course I ___” trend, where you fill in the blanks. That’s what today’s post is going to be, except it is reader edition!

I know, fabulous idea. Many of us readers have some crazy “Of course I” facts about ourselves, so today, you’ll get to hear some of mine.

I’m a reader, of course I tell people, “One more chapter!” and then hours later I find myself weeping over the end of the book twenty-five chapters later.

This one isn’t too crazy sounding- at least to readers! We have all had that experience where a book is just so, so good, we can’t possibly put it down! One single minute turns into five, five turns into fifty, and so on and so forth.

2. I’m a reader, of course my library card gets blocked every now and then (okay maybe more often than I care to admit.) because I have over fifty books checked out!

Sooo… I’m not the only one who likes to return home from the library with a huge stack of books, right? I always order books ahead of time and tell myself my limit is those five that had been placed on hold, until I find myself searching the shelves for more.

3. I’m a reader, of course I have fictional friends!

This one might seem odd, but I’m sure many readers would agree- aren’t fictional characters much more consistent and easier to be friends with than real-life people? I have a huge fictional friend group!

4. I’m a reader, of course all my Amazon deliveries are filled with books galore!

When I have spending money, why would I use it up on anything other than books? Of course, this naturally results in overflowing bookcases and bookshelves, but oh well… nothing you can do about that… besides purchasing three more bookcases!!

5. I’m a reader, of course the first thing I think of when I have spending money is books, books, books!
