Call It Consequences: A Masterpiece of Sci-Fi Literature

This story was so unpredictable. So captivating.

I generally do not read Sci- Fi, but something about Call It Consequences told me that I had to read it. Now, after finishing it, I can clearly say I would definitely have regretted it if I didn’t.

Alli Prince created a majestic masterpiece of art with this book and interwove unique storylines and characters throughout the novel. The beauty of her writing was unique in its own way and made the experience of reading it all the more enjoyable.

This book is about time travel, but not your typical go-back-into-historical-time period type of time travel story. Call it Consequences is about twenty year old Lorraine living with her time-obsessed father and still grieving the loss of her mother. Her mother paid the price for a time machine accident, and deep down, Lorraine had never forgiven her father.

However, what would you do if your middle school self suddenly appeared and told you that you could change the events of the past? That’s the exact situation that Lorraine was thrust into.

What followed was a circle of events that happened one after the other in a dangerous mission to go back in time.

Prince created a complicated plot with complex characters and compelling writing with ease. Everything about this book was deliberate, every word, every sentence, every character. Nothing was placed just as a filler, every word written was there for a reason.

It’s incredible to read a book like that. It gives the reader an unforgettable experience.

I read this book in a single sitting and was fascinated from the very first page to the very last sentence.

It definitely was much darker of a storyline than I had originally anticipated, but it fit the story so well that I don’t mind it as much as I normally would. However, I would encourage readers interested to take note of this, as it is a sad story.

But I highly recommend this to YA and adult readers. For readers of other genres outside of sci-fi, I would encourage you to expand your reading and choose Call it Consequences to add to your pile.
