I love sweet romances- and Mindy Steele always writes the sweetest, most heartwarming stories! A Heart on Consignment is a beautiful romance and is one that you will feel good about and remember long after you turn the last page.

Salina is the lead female character who dreams of a life where the pressure she feels from her parents does not exist. She is perfectly happy on her own and feels no need for any kind of romantic relationship that her parents seem to want for her. It’s understandable- she is an only child, and her parents just want her to be happy. Yet the increasing pressure she feels is a weight that seems too heavy to bear.

However, maybe love could just be in the air for her, even if she doesn’t see it yet.

One of the core themes in the book is that God’s timing is perfect. It’s easy to try and plan our own lives in our own way, but most of the time, our ‘perfect’ vision is different than God’s. He has the best plan, and everything happens in his timing.

I thought the emotional aspects of the book were well done and the lessons hidden throughout the pages were carefully thought and placed- I highly recommend this book for lovers of sweet romance!
