Uprooted by Kathryn J. Bain: A Must-Read for Tweens

I just finished reading Uprooted by Kathryn J. Bain.

I LOVED IT. It may well be one of the best middle grade fiction novels I have read this year!

The two sisters Lily and Rachel were immediately likeable from the beginning. These teenage girls were navigating life and friendship drama in the most relatable way possible. We all remember those years where friendships just seem so unbelievably complicated!

Kathryn perfectly portrayed Lily and Rachel in a way that will resonate with tween and teen girls alike.

This book teaches the importance of empathy, kindness, and even the power of prayer! What a beautiful story- the characters are beautifully developed and each and every one of them have their own backstory with their own issues and struggles they are individually working through.

I cannot express enough how much I loved and appreciated the individual stories of the characters! It was beautiful to see them grow and develop throughout the novel.

The only thing that I noticed was that there were a few minor typos throughout the book, but nothing major that bugged me or took away from the story!

Other than that, this story is PERFECT. I will be rereading!

The two sisters Lily and Rachel were uprooted from their home they had known all their life and immediately pushed into an unfamiliar world full of new people and new schools. They were getting a fresh start, but a fresh start also means new struggles!

I highly recommend for both tweens and young teens!
